"fomfoliges" as a page, blog and as a pseudonym of Giannis Giannopoulos, serves as an umbrella under which the entirety of his work exists. The word "fomfoliges" is a play on the Greek phrase "Πομφόλυγες και Φληναφήματα" (Pomfoliges and Flinafimata), which is best translated as "babble" or speech without substance, meaningless. The frivolity of this concept, and the hope of avoiding, through the use of it, any superficial seriousness or self-importance, makes it ideal to cover the full spectrum of Giannis' interests. Contemporary electronic and instrumental works, pop music projects, music for theatre or other visual media, collaborations and improvisations, but also texts, poems and, almost diary-like, thoughts, all here and all, perhaps, equally meaningless.
